How Do You Get Over Cravings?

I'm eleven days post - op and having all of these insane cravings. Especially , for foods I can't have at this stage or maybe ever .like chorizo with sour cream. I'm still in the liquid stage and know this is more a head game. What do I do to stop it?

I get full really quick... But think because I feel sick.

I have been craving a dill pickle for 2 days now! No not preggo just want a pickle and I'm only 2 weeks out! Ugh!!! Idk how to overcome this craving either!

Thank you so much for sharing!! I too am having cravings!! Only 5 days out!! Has me scared, thought I was only one.

I'm 18 days out and the salty snack carving are starting to lessen !! Hang in there! I had oatmeal yesterday and I thought I died and went to heaven!

Focus your energy elsewhere.

My go-to is either online shopping (ok... more like online browsing) for things that I want when I meet goal, working out or reading a trashy novel. Totally distracts me.

Youre going to be able to have your crave foods shortly. Just white knuckle this and power through... you can do this!

Distract yourself. Once you're on solids it'll get better (did for me). I mean, everyone has cravings sometimes but once your on full solids it'll be easier to find healthy and creative ways to solve your cravings!

I had mad pickle cravings and I'm not going to lie... I did drink some pickle juice but the heartburn I had that night was enough to make me wait until I was back on a "normal" diet.

During the hardest parts during recovery if I couldn't do something to distract myself I'd just take a nap (when possible) and usually you'll wake up over it.
