Having a really hard time getting in my Protein Shakes and Water in general...feels like a huge tightness in my chest...other than that I feel great, just wondering if it ever goes away? If so, when does it get better? Any tips on how to get through this? Struggling because it hurts :(

Hi. I'm 4-5 days out too! I can only have clears until day 7 post op appointment. I would kill for a Protein shake! If you are using a straw try with out and maybe go even slower if you can! You can do it!!

How's your pain??

Was sleeved 8/13/12. Seems to get a little better each day. Was having hard time getting everything down at 4 days myself. My program said to do best you could and do not get dehydrated most important!! Just got all my Protein and fluids in for 1st time yesterday :-) and have not gotten dehydrated.

My pain is fine, it's just the tightness after drinking! I am not drinking out of a straw, just a cup...I think today was just a hard day because it's the reality that I cannot do it like I used to and I am discouraged this is how it will be forever :/

Make sure you are sipping very very slowly. Take breaks between sips.

I couldn't drink much at first either. I know that tightness too but now 4-weeks out I only feel it with heavy food, not drinks. So yes you will get better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
