Am finishing day 2 of the liquid diet and feel as though i may sleep for the next 2 weeks. I am exhausted. I am drinking the costco Premier Protein shakes...about 3.5 a day which is 105 grams of Protein so i am meeting the requirement. I have had chicken broth and my husband just went to get me some Jello. I have to work tomorrow...a 12 hour shift...please tell me this will pass. Surgery is still 12 days away.

Once all the carbs and sugar are out of your system you will start to feel a lot better. I think I had about four days of head aches and low energy. After that I felt really good. It still was not fun, but I felt like I could do it. Hang in there! Keep reminding yourself that it is only 12 days. Just a blip on the calendar really! YOU CAN DO IT!!

I'm on the liquid pre op too and the first 4-5 days I had horrible headaches and felt completely outside of my body. I had to leave work early to go home and lie down. Now that I'm on day 9, I feel a ton better. I do sleep REALLY well at night but it's not anywhere near the lethargy I felt in the beginning.

I won't say I've been perfect though. I've cheated a few times with grilled chicken and cottage cheese! You can do it! I have 5 more days to go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
