Happier update than my previous confession LOL:

I confess that I FINALLY feel THIN and NORMAL SIZED

I confess that I'm thrilled with my new body and new health

I confess that I love my little teeny sleevie and I'm so grateful that my surgeon gave me a teeny sleevie!

I confess that my husband and kids have been nice and understanding for the entire year since my surgery and I'm so grateful

I confess that I'm going to go to the casino in a month and I might drink a little alcohol for the first time since being sleeved!

;) Laura I think you will be just fine after a single mint' date=' at least it wasn't 6, a whole row ( guilty of eating that many at once) or a whole box. They must put something magical in those Cookies because they sure are good! This weekend was "hard" for me because of a v-day party on Saturday ( we hosted) and a b-day party on Sunday. I did pretty good at the v-day party, but did have a small lemon drop rosemary drink my wife made. Didn't hit me, I was surprised after my last wine experience. Not too bad at the b-day party. My wife put a small fork of cake (a pinch) in front of my mouth so I decided to try it it was ok, but didn't feel like I wanted any. Let me tell you, it is hard to be a good eater when married to a generous woman Ike my wife that likes to host many social events with family! I manage to say no most of the time though. Hosting parties is part of her personality and I would not ask her to stop for a moment.[/quote']

Hey Laura- I hope you read the "guilty..." text as a statement about me and not you! I can see how it might be interpreted wrong since I left off "I" in the post above. I was a real cookie monster at times before VSG.

Of course Fiddleman!! I know you would never beat up on me :)

I guess I worry about the cookie because for me it's a slippery slope. And at the 3 month mark on a "diet" is usually when I start to fail :(

Sometimes I'm scared of my MYSELF.

But today is a new day so I'm going to be on the straight and narrow.

I confess that at I drink soda occasionally. I confess I am not even close to mastering the art of eating slow, therefore every time I eat it feels like I'm swallowing a knife :-( I confess that given the limited small portions I can consume, I would just rather not eat.

I'm only in the pre op stage and have confessions. I'm TERRIFIED. I want to be healthy for me, but I wish I wouldn't have let myself get this far out of control. Not being able to have the food I want when I want it has left a void I'm not sure can ever be filled. I wish that I was (bigger) than the pressure to be thin.

Ok, here it goes:

I confess that before I started to consider WLS for myself, I held the surgery in contempt. I bad-mouthed it to the point that my best friend felt like she could not tell me she was going to do it. Of course, by that time, I had begun to consider it for myself so when she finally called me and told me she had been keeping it a secret from me, I felt like a total ass.

I confess that I also held the pre-op diet in contempt. During my six month diet, I gained a pound in month one, stayed the same in month two, lost 4 pounds in month three, lost half a pound in month four, stayed the same in month five and gained two pounds in month six.

I confess that my husband and parents were adamantly opposed to me having surgery. My father told me that the surgery was only for REALLY fat people. I told my sweet daddy that that is me. I weighed 250 lbs on a 5'2" frame. Do the math. My husband finally asked if I would still have nipples after the surgery. When I assured him I would, he came around. He has a strange sense of humor. The main reason I married him. If I hadn't met him, I would have been a dog woman the rest of my life.

I confess that deep down, i don't REALLY believe this will work for me. I just can't wrap my head around it. I was sleeved February 4,2013. I have lost 18 lbs since surgery.

Whew. That felt nice.

I confess that:

(I'm 1 week out)

-i regret this surgery every time I go to the bathroom, if you know what I mean.

-I ate more than my measured portion of Tomato Soup yesterday (an extra 1/4 cup ish).

-the scale this morning is up two pounds and I'm tripping out about it.

-I may not be taking my full dosage of psych meds because the pills don't go down anymore.

Hi Rosie,

- I do know what you mean.

- That's no big deal.

- That's no big deal either at such an early stage, could just be Fluid retention.

- Definitely talk to your doctor about this ASAP!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
