Thank you everyone! It really has been a lot of work this year, but the band has been a tool that allowed me to keep my motivation, whereas before I would have given up long ago.

Now I have a wonderful guy in my life - a year ago I'd been on maybe 5 dates in my whole life (it's embarassing to admit that). We went on an awesome cruise in May (about 35 pounds ago) and I was able to bike and hike at every port - it helps to have an active man! Here are some of our vacation pics:

I know I'll make it to goal this year, and I know that ALL of us can! Just keep on keepin' on!

One year ago I couldn't fit in airline seats without an extender belt (and even then it was tight),

Btw, the last time I flew, I needed an extender belt. Tomorrow, I fly for the first time since surgery.

After reading your post again for inspiration, I am now excited to see how the airplane seat belt fits!!! =)

I have to say that I am soooo happy for you Puddinpie! I've been watching your progress for months while I have been awaiting my date to get banded. You have worked really hard and look fantastic! You are a beautiful girl, and always have been. Keep up the good work! I can only hope I am half as successful as you have been!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
