Well hello! I am getting so excited and nervous about my vsg on Monday!! Any words of advice, what your surgical experience was like, or encouraging support welcome. Looking forward to meeting some nice friends on here. BTW, who are they kidding with this pre-surgical fluid diet?!? If I could just do this, I wouldn't need the surgery! Already missing food...

I'm day 5 post op and it has been harder than I'd anticipated. Just stay positive and know that in the end you won't regret this.

Make sure you buy heating pads

My sleeve was done last month. The surgery was not too bad. There will be some discomfort but you will have pain meds to combat it. You can also given IV meds for nausea if you experience it. You will be feeling better in just a few days. I actually went back to work exactly one week after my surgery. I wish you the best of luck! Don't worry...you'll do fine and, trust me, you will loose weight!

Good Luck!!

Just remember to follow your Drs instructions about post op "eating" it's important to your healing and recovery. It may seem like it'll take forever, but you will get to eat real food again. It's worth the wait
