  1. Congratulations to all of you! I had my VSG on 8/6/12. My highest weight was around 317. This morning I was 192! I am 6'0" tall. I am so grateful that I was approved by my insurance BCBS for my surgery. Even though I developed complication because of a blood clotting disorder - not from my sleeve, I would totally do it all over again. Even though I am happy with how I look in cloths now and I am able to buy some really cute one, I have focused on other dislikes now. Flappy belly, flabby thighs, saggy butt, "deflated face" and increased facial wrinkles. But only me and my husband if 24 years sees this part. Because of my clotting disorder plastic surgery is not an option for me. So just realize that we are always going to focus on our imperfections. Just remember to try and be grateful for losing the weight and to be alive and healthier! Best wishes to each and everyone of you! Xoxo
  2. I'm on it for 1 week. I have BCBS of Alabama and out of pocket it was 101.00 but my insurance would only cover it at CVS pharmacy and I only paid 10.00
  3. I'm day 5 post op and it has been harder than I'd anticipated. Just stay positive and know that in the end you won't regret this.

  9. August 6.... 15 days away! I had a dream last night that I had my sleeve. It felt real! Crazy thing about is that my husband took me and brought me home and I didn't remember anything. In my dream when I woke up my abdomen was a little tender and I was thirsty and if I took a big drink it would hurt and cramp up going down. Anyone else having any dreams?

  12. I wouldn't recommend driving home. You will probably have pain Meds on board. Do you have someone to take you home? My concerns about broths is all the sodium. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, low sodium broth?
  13. I think most people go to Mexico mainly because their insurance does not cover the surgery.
  14. I watched a lot of YouTube video diaries and found that to be extremely helpful in helping me decide to go with the sleeve instead of the band.
