Hi guys

A question. I am 13 weeks post op and lost 32.9 lb already. Is this too much. My partner and I are worried as weight seems to be falling off.

I had major issues to start with and ended up having my gall bladder removed. I am eating now but still only a few spoon full at a time. Any more and I vomit. Am eating a variety of food about six times a day. Even have a few bad Snacks.

Dietician is concerned I am in starvation mode. I don't feel bad. Actually I feel amazing. Have days though where I get a little tired.

So was hoping that someone could shed some light. Is this to much to fast. Was 276 when started now 204.

Thanx

32 lbs in 13 weeks seems great to me! I wish I was still trucking along, but I hit a stall after week 2, and still stalled (week 3). I've lost 25 lbs in a month.

Always check with the Doc but 2-3 lbs per week is acceptable. Also, us bigens tend to drop alot more when weight loss is first started up. You will slow as you get closer to your ideal weight.

I’m in my 11th week and I have lost 91lbs I asked if that was a lot or fast etc they said no some do less some do more some the same its fine.

I also started out heavier so I dunno if that’s a factor in my more rapid weight loss.

i also don’t exercise yet as in, in a gym or hardcore dunno if that slows it/speeds it changes loses because muscle is building and weighs more.

I think the op and the first stages are such a dramatic shock to the body it falls off and for me I am managing maybe 3oz (if lucky) of food a day still having a very hard time with both drinking and eating and they are not too concerned I am starving or anything like that.

We all react differently our bodies do different things we may have big drops now and level out and be a lot slower say 6 months out others might be slower now their body adjusts and 6 months out the weight slides off with ease.

Keep a food and drink diary and see how much your doing then you have a exact log to show them I had this much Fluid this much food so they know.

My cousin has lost 100 lbs since May 5th his day of surgery. I on the other hand am losing slower. Everyone is different. At least you are eating something 6 times a day. Thats better than nothing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
