I was able to "resume sexual activity" yesterday, after my 2 week post op appt. And with 24 lbs gone, it was like a whole new world, felt like a new person. Just wanted to give you pre-surgery people something to look forward to! :D

And I guess I could all that a Non-scale Victory also! :D heehee

Thanks for the incentive! It's nice to know that after 2 weeks life will be 'normal' again. I'm 4 days before surgery and looking forward to it.

My main problem before, was sex drive. That has improved already, after just 24 lbs gone. My hubby was wondering what had gotten into me :) LOL

Our relationships post-sleeve are something everyone has thought and worried about. Thanks for reminding everyone that there are some very real, very positive things to be shared after surgery with your signifigant other.

I wrap my lleg around my Hubby's waist now when I am asleep...I apparently dont even know it. he seems quite pleased :o

Just one of many things we enjoy now ;)

I'm down 66 lbs since my surgery in April and oh man, I love getting it on! Before my surgery I was always tired and found excuses to not make nookie because things "jiggling" around Now? My hubby walks in the door, in his cute little Air Force uniform and I'm all over him like a dog on a 3 legged cat. Me-ow!

This is funny because I was about to post a thread about sex today too! I'm a month post-op and have had sex twice since surgery. (I only waited 10 days, doc said I could do it when I felt ready.) The "friend" I was with last night was kind of an experiment of sorts because I had not had sex with him in several months, back when I was at my highest weight. I wanted to "test it out" and see if I noticed a difference with 85 pounds gone. Little did I know he had lost a bunch of weight too. (He's not a big guy, just lost most of his beer gut. lol) So, of course, he lost inches in his waist and gained it you-know-where. I felt much smaller or shallower down there now. It has never hurt with him before and last night I let out a few yelps of pain. Afterwards I told him I was mad at him because he "punched my cervix." lol We had a good laugh! But that was the ONLY negative! Everything else was great! It was so nice to wrap my legs around his waist or hold my own legs up more easily!

Oh, I love the TMI threads on this site!

Oh, have I experienced this. I'm still preop but I lost 100 a couple of years ago so I know where you are coming from. I don't think it is that you are more shallow it's just that you don't have all the extra thighs and etc in the way so you are getting more of it. :D

This is one thing that I can't wait to experience again.

Well I am about four months out and have always had a high sexual want and my hubby was not like me. But once we started having sex again he seems to want me all the time. This was my biggest complaint and we would fight because I thought that he did not love me.

But I now can do the thing I did as a teenager with out the pain of the weight . I also notice I feel him alot more.

This is one of the best things of weight lost, the ability to put your legs around your man or for him to do positions you see on tv is the greats. Fifty shades of grey has nothing on me.

I told hubby we need to make our own porn and he laugh and said what ever you want but I don't want to share you.

We are going to our second honeymoon for my one year goal.

Good luck all glad to hear I am not the only having this experience

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
