My surgeon wants us to use double strength milk. Basically adding powdered milk to my 1% milk. Adding additional milk to any dairy type products. So when you make the oatmeal sprinkle some powdered milk to increase your Protein.< /p>

And try sweetening with Splenda, or Splenda brown sugar, to eliminate the use of simple sugars (table sugar, or honey).

Personally, I love oatmeal, but don't eat it now. It's far too many carbs for me...kicks me right out of ketosis.

just in case anybody is following this, I misread what I was seeing on MyFitnessPal. One whole teaspoon of salt is 1.5g, so 1/16 of that is 0.0938g. The sodium value is right for 1/16tsp, I just had the weight wrong.

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
