Body Tempurature Change Since Surgery

Some people say they are not hot and sweaty after surgery, but I am still always hot since surgery 3 days ago. Does it take awhile for my body temp to change? You know they say they cut out some kind of tempurature hormone thing that is in your stomache??? (anyone else heard that?)

I was a roller coaster the first few days after surgery. I would have intense hot flashes and then be cold. It evened out after a few days and now I'm 3 weeks out, 41 lbs down, and cold all the time! Lol!

That is scary to me. I am still considering the surgery but don't want a portion of an organ removed from my body that assists and/or helps control body temperature. WOW!

When you shed weight, you shed insulation, therefore you are more sensitive to cooler temps. Just science, nothing to do with the removal of the stomach. I had issues with being superheated after my c section. Mostly hormonal and it subsides.

I expected to be cold right away too. I was surprised it took a few weeks but it made sense. It took my body a while to adjust on all fronts. We are saving a couple hundred per mth in elec bill around here compared to last summer because I don't stay hot all day. It's fabulous!
