Hot Flashes When Eating?

Recommended Posts

I'm 7 weeks post op, and every time I eat a meal, I get hot flashes. Does anyone else experience this? Does it go away? What causes it?

I'm only 17 days post op but yes! I think though it's usually when I eat too fast.

Does it happen sometimes or all the time?

Me sometimes.

I had my gallbladder removed at the same time due I gallstones I had know about for 2 years. Sometimes I get diahrea and get the hot flashes just before that as well.

I've put it down to digestive upset, things moving too fast.

Unfortunately, it happens to me every time I eat. I've had a hysterectomy and was having some early menopause issues (like hot flashes) before the surgery...just never when I ate. Oh well....I can live with it. The weight is coming off. :D

You may want to try some soy supplements to see if they help. Fat is where we store estrogen so while you are losing rapidly your levels can go a little bunkers. It should settle down once your wright and diet stablizes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
