Hey, I'm here just lay'n in the hospital bed wishing I was @ home... Thanks for your concern, they say the 1st few weeks are the hardest & I'm really finding that to be true... The Dr will come tomorrow I make sure to get answers for everything - my side shouldn't still be hurting like this - when I make certain movements, such as sit up, get in or out of bed, bend forward to a certain angle & etc it feels like the worse sharp pain like a knife is hitting my ribs, that whole area of that incicons is hurting - more around the incision & instead of it subsiding it has just stayed constant w/ the pain... And how when I can drink w/ out lumps & heaviness down my throat... Keep the prayers come'n - you guys are great...

Trust me - I'm feeling the same way -I mean I feel like I could be home - all those IV attempts only to have some morphine put in but not hooked up to the IV for dehydrating me - I mean I'm somewhat irritated - I mean none of the issues I had are being addressed. I called & left a message for the nurse so she will get it 1st thing in the morning @ my Dr office w/ my concerns... No one has said what the result of the scan was or my blood work - I'm like really I been to this hosptial for other things & have been fine but this is ridiculous... Well about to try to get some rest - let you know tomorrow what happens...

I had my surgery on Monday the 17th. Very large hiatal hernia repaired and sleeve completed. I came home today. Anyone else get really cold especially when your bladder is ready to produce? I did this in the hospital too. Wakes me up shivering. My temp is fine, no fever. Had no problems in hospital, but didn't produce a lot. Now that I am home it is every hour.

Dang, how can you graduate before getting out the hospital?

It just depends on the Doctor and how you did with the surgery. I was released from the hospital on pureed foods. :o

We are using muscles that have been dormant or are building muscle instead of storing fat now. This in turn produces lactic acid in the muscles and causes cramps. Many and I mean many years ago when I was a runner. In the evening after runs or in the middle of the night this would hit my legs with cramps.

September 24th is right around the corner getting a little anixious right. I am doing OK on the pre-op diet, a few little bumps and slips, but got right back on. I do miss eating real food. I have lost 19 lbs since the start, but I can't figure out how to get my ticker to move.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
