I think we just know when to shut-up. I also feel the need to express my opinion now and then. The difference is I don't need to have the last word, and I don't need to convert people to my way of thinking.

There, my 2 cents worth!!

Argon

I have been reading outside the Canadian boarders . Wow These people really need to watch tv or go outside or something.

I have always said I wanted to live in america but obviously they have nothing to do there. :deadhorse:

I like it here. :canada:

We are a peace keeping country!!

Hi green - and anyone else who cares lol --- to answer your questions - I'll have to ask my Mom if she remembers where all my dad's dad is from - I know for sure Alberta - his sister lived there (I think all of her life) but I don't think any of his family is living any longer....I'm in Illinois - outside of Chicago....I'll have to ask my Mom if she remembers why my grandpa moved here - I was young and newly married with a baby when he passed away - I sure wish I had retained/remembered more - in his last years he talked A LOT about his childhood memories, life in Canada, etc....it was my favorite time - listening to him talk about his life, and his favorite saying was "believe you me" - he was the only one in our family who ever said it - then I went to college and a girl said it (she was from Canada too) lol - sorry if this is too much info - it's nice to think about all of this

OT - I think all of the drama comes from just too many people in one place at one time - I honestly think that it could happen here too, if it grew too large to hold all the people - ya know....I'd just ignore it all - do ya think I can become Canadian by proxy? lol Everyone IS much nicer and saner (a word?) here - thanks!

Thanx M, for your interesting post, and no, it wasn't too long. I never realised that "believe you me" was a Canuck thang. As for being an honorary Canadian, well, it seems to me that you have not only got Canadian ancestors, you've got a corner of your heart that is devoted to Canada, too, so why not, eh?

I've never been to Chicago but I've been told by a number of people that it is one of the nicest and most interesting American cities. I would like to go one day in the future. Maybe when I am a size 12....

If you look anywhere else on the board, anything pertaining to P'nut (Photonut) or Delarla, you'll find the stuff I'm referring to. A good place to start (or better yet, save your self and don't bother!) would be in the Rants N' Raves section... http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=23006

But this stuff is ALL over the place.

I checked this stuff out today, and you are right, it is petty, weird, and boring.:notagree

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
