Hey fellow Canucks,

I just want to say thank you!!! I am so happy that we live up to our Canadian reputation and that we are all peaceful and get along and none of our threads result in the juvenile crap that has occurred in some other threads.

I would expect nothing less from fellow Canadians.

I like LBT....but I LOVE our Canuck thread.

Thank you all for being you and for being true, north, strong and free!

I was thinking that our relatively low numbers (as compared to the U.S.) makes for a cosy chatroom, and yet we have all the resources of the boys and grrls in the big sand box next door. It's kinda like real life, eh?

Actually, Jack, I think you are. I think that you were supposed to be south lower British Columbia. (I'd give you a wink but I opted for the quick reply, eh.)

when my mom was crossing into the US border (couple of years ago) she showed her Canuck passport. Of course, the passport indicated that she was born in NewWestminster British Columbia. The border guard started giving her a tough time...asking her why she was in possession of a Canadian passport if she was born in British Columiba (thinking it was the UK). Oh veeeey!

(not to mention you can be born out of the country and still have a Cdn passport).

Dum de dumm dummmm

When I was a kid, I thought where you were born determined what you looked liked. I called a kid a liar when she told me her father was born in Japan because he didn't look Japanese!

Hi all - I figure since my grandfather is from Canada - and my grandparents on my mom's side were both born in Canada - I might check in and get a feel for what 'silence' and 'playing nice' means lol -- good to know people can get along somewhere in this world of ours - **waves**

Hello Fellow Canadians:

Great to know that civil chat does exist here......and not a lot of time need be wasted reading loads of repetitive crap.

So far, can anyone manage to eat sashimi with full restriction?

Hubby and I haven't had a day off since May and will be spending a few days in Toronto next week....I love sushi and sashimi but not sure if I will be able to manage it.

Carol

Sounds like ya got a lot of lucky Canucki in ya. From what part of Canada are your grandparents from? And where do you live?

I am always interested in stories like this because we all came from somewhere and we are always going somewhere. My bro, a doctor, is now living in Virginia and has just become an American citizen. He really misses Canada, though, and plans to retire here. He's already bought a chunk of land on a lake near Ottawa. This is where he is going to build his dream home. Two of his kids live in Canada, one in Halifax, one in Windsor for university reasons (she was living in London, Ont. for years), and the other one lives in Australia.

Hey Woodys: I've read on the other threads that most ppl don't seem to have a problem with sushi. Just give it a try (carefully) & see what happens.

Enjoy your few days off!!! I'm sure you both deserve it!

Are you guys sick and F-in' tired of all the BS 'out there'? OMG

How any one can keep track of all the posts about moderators and banning, and who the moderators should ban, and that the moderators should be banned themselves, and then all the banned people coming back with new identities .... it's beyond me. I just want to gnaw my hands off, after poking my eyes out, to stop myself from looking at any more of it!!

Is it that we're all just so damn nice? Or do we just know what not to say, to not cause sh!t? We're not "not being ourselves", we're just having some freakin' consideration, and politeness!

I'm worried that this might just make Alex (the owner) say "Screw this" and taking down the board altogether, with no warning. I certainly hope not. If that ever happens, we'll make our own board (not a Yahoo group!), and call it Survivors of LBT.

I'm new here but I've been noticing the occasional reference to the bad behaviour that has been going on. What kind of bad behaviour? What are these people doing? Please put me in the loop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
