I'm in Grand Prairie (right on border of Arlington). Getting sleeve this Thur 9/27 with Dr. Castro at Forest Park Medical Center. On day 5 of Pre-op liquid diet and already down 7 lbs. looking forward to the weight loss without the hunger pains :-)

TinaD, you are in my prayers for a smooth surgery and recovery. Remember that God is with you every step of the way.

Jazzeeja, I will be praying for you as well. The support of others through prayer and meals for my family has been such a blessing. Don't turn down offers for help. It makes people feel good to help out. God's peace!

Thanks OwlMom for the prayers. And thanks for the reminder about letting others help ... That's hard for me :-)

Thank you owlmom for your prayers and thoughtfullness. I will be carrying them in with me to surgery. I'm excited and a little apprehensive. I do have a wonderful surgeon and staff, and the hospital is new and high tech. So that should be comfortable, I've done everything for the past two weeks that was required, last two days of clear liquids was tough. Now I'm fasting til surgery with just a sip of water to take meds in the morning. Lost 13 pounds. So hopefully all will go well. I will post as soon as I'm coherent tomorrow. Thank you again.

Anyone need Nectar and/or bariatric advantage vitamins crystals or know someone in DFW who does? I have 2 tubs of nectar and 3 tubs of zbA vitamins to give if Someone will come and get them . I am right off of i30 in Oak Cliff.

Is the Nectar still available?

TinaD, I hope you're doing well and recovering quickly from your surgery. Please let us know how it went.

If I can figure out how to!

Hi everyone. I'm Michelle. Sleeve on 9/10. I live in Arlington by the stadium. Would love a workout buddy

Hi Michelle! What is your schedule like? I live near Veteran's Park and ArkGirl is near River Legacy. I'm a stay at home mom, so I have some flexibility during the week. Meet to walk or something?

Awesome!!! I work M-F 7-4 and my kids extra curricular lives make me as a single mom a human taxi. I'm trying to figure it all out. This is my first week back at work and I haven't walked since Sunday. I'm tremendously disappointed in myself but I just have such low energy. Staying awake at my desk is a small miracle. I had my surgery on the tenth so I'm praying it will get better when I can manage to meet my Protein and Water goals.

Wow! Good luck with the energy thing. If you have a pedometer, maybe you could try to incorporate steps during the day. I used to have a desk job and would go out during lunch and walk through a nearby plant nursery. It was good for me mentally and physically.

I am feeling weaker than I was in the beginning. I think it's because I got so tired of the Protein shakes that when I got to mushy food I tried to get all my protein through food. I just couldn't get it all in. Now I'm trying different Protein Shakes for variety and eating foods that have more protein bang for the bite. I feel like it's two steps forward and one step back. Little by little, it's getting better.

Maybe a Saturday morning would work best. Not much, but it might motivate us to do better on our own during the week. This Saturday is bad for me, though. I'll message ArkGirl and maybe you two could meet.

If you didn't see earlier, my name's Carol, sleeved 8/31 by Dr. Clayton Frenzel.
