1. Going into the new year 55 pounds lighter. I am so happy and blessed to have had this surgery
2. Yes I have that issue too. My doc says it will get better. Hang in there. I'm 12 weeks out
3. Thanks!!!! I cant believe thats my belly without sucking anything in
4. Thank you all so much for the love and support
5. thanks! I was at our company Christmas party this weekend. ...I trashed the one from last year.. I was not looking anywhere near as happy or confident. This surgery is the best thing i have ever done for myself.
6. Hi all...had my sleeve on 9/10/12...and now 12 weeks out I have offically passed 50 lbs. down. Whoo hoo!!! 270 lb-217.8
7. i was sleeved on the tenth of September. I'm 40 pounds down this morning. I've had a couple weeks of stalls in there but like LJ said it gives my skin a chance to catch up. My thighs seem to be getting the message but my arms aren't really tightening up. Guess that will have to go into my flexible spending acct. for next year.
8. That's awesome!! I had a nearly orgasmic moment when I got into a size 16 this weekend....i can't imagine a 10.
9. I"m feeling pretty encouraged myself. I haven't weighed 220 anything since I was pregnant with my daughter and she's 16...it's crazy to imagine I'm going to get even smaller. Size 16 jeans seems like mission impossible just 2 months ago...now they are kinda loose. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Thank God it all worked out.
10. No definite answer....my doc said alleriges...dairy....dehydration.....the combo of them all let a big ball of mucus consolidate in my gut. So I've added a antihistamine to my daily regimine and I'm increasing my hot liquid intake to 3 times a day. It feels good to be able to eat I was going on 2 weeks with basically no intake.
11. Yeah that mucus is some scary stuff. Thanks Baby
12. 4'11" Down to a size 16 from a 22.
13. Surg date 9/10/12 Had a setback last week. After two weeks of vomiting and not being able to eat I had to go back to the OR. I had a big mucus plug that was causing a blockage. He pushed it thru and now I feel great.
14. I feel the same way. I hate even attempting to eat. It's depressing and frustrating as hell. My sleeve was on 9/10. I can only get down bland food. Anything fried or greasy is not happening. Anything more than two or three bites is misery. Not drinking for 30 minutes before or after helps. I also have found if I don't have a bm everyday I can't eat. I still get constipated so it's Milk of Mag a couple times a week. I'm praying it gets better. I miss eating with my family and friends. I want to be able to take more than two bites without that terrible heartburn pain
15. I went back in for horrible pain on the left. Had the CT it was constipation. MOM daily for about a week and no more pain. I get it on days I don't #2 so I try to stay regular
16. Still gurgle. Five weeks later. (((Shrugs))))
17. Congrats on your new tummy. My advice would be to stop weighing yourself daily. I only weigh once a week (I'm five weeks out). I'm down 30lbs so far but in the last two weeks only 3 pounds each week. Just starting to be able to tolerate "normal" food and working out a lil bit. It will all come with time. Just do the things you're supposed to and enjoy your new life. :-)
18. STOP IT !!!!! Y'all are cracking me up. That sweet boy was NOT looking at me
