September Sleevers Progress Updates?

Had surgery on Sept 6th, day of surgery was 245, and I'm five weeks out and down to 218. Still in a stall, haven't lost much this past month. So frustrating. Just wondering where everyone else was at with their weight loss, lack there of. Anyone being in stalls, what did u do to break out of the stall?

I'm ok with it. Just think your skin is having time to catch up with your weight loss. I'm going to start to go hard at the gym this week. Let's see if that works if not I'm ok I'm just a slow looser.

I'm down 29 lbs. in 33 days, but still having great difficulty eating protein and drinking enough fluid. It's a constant battle. I suspect my hair will start coming out even more soon. It has been coming out by the handful for a long time because of thyroid issues anyway, so what's a little more ! It grows back... Doc gave me some drug that's supposed to relax the esophagus/stomach so food doesn't feel stuck, but all it really does is make me sleepy (hyscosamine). Vitamins are a full load for my little sleevie so I slide them in with some yogurt just to keep from barfing from vitamin overload. I know I'm losing some muscle so I've ordered some wrist and ankle weights to walk with, even if it's only around the house and yard. Can't hurt... My energy levels have been in the toilet, but seem to be coming back little by little. Thank God I'm self employed and have been able to fit in a little power nap here and there or I don't think I'd have made it. If I had a boss, I'd probably have gotten fired for sleeping on the job !!! I totally respect and give huge kudos to those who have an employer to satisfy after this surgery !!!

Yeah, I'm going to start exercising this week too, hopefully it'll be the kickstart my body needs! Glad were about the same. We need to stay close so we can share our progress!

LizInTexas, thanks for the post! Sounds like we're much the same. My energy levels are in the pits! I'm already taking a crap load of Vitamins each day...so maybe it'll get better soon!

I had surgery 24 days ago. I lost 19lbs in 8 days and NOTHING in the 16 days following, it sucks!

  • 2 weeks later...

i was sleeved on the tenth of September. I'm 40 pounds down this morning. I've had a couple weeks of stalls in there but like LJ said it gives my skin a chance to catch up. My thighs seem to be getting the message but my arms aren't really tightening up. Guess that will have to go into my flexible spending acct. for next year.

Surgery Date 9/4/12

Starting Weight 177

Weight 11/5/12 140

Have hit 3 stalls but I'll take the 37 lb weight loss :)

Sleeved Sept. 18th and down 40, all post surgery as well. It's a little slow, but it's steady and I'm SO thankful !!!

50 since surgery? Wow that's great.

50 since surgery? Wow that's great.

I just hit 50 down yesterday so I'm super excited!!! I do exercise almost every day with my kids. Lol and I keep track of what I eat in my fitness pal.

I exercise 6 days a week. Weights and cardiovascular. I hit the gym pretty hard about 2 hours a day. I've always worked out even before surgery. I'm not eating more than 700cals I don't know why I'm not loosing faster. My nut appt is Tuesday hopefully shell shed some light on it all. Your doing great keep it up.

I was sleeved September 19 & am 43 pounds down. I think I could have had a greater loss by now had I not had a leak and spent 17 days in the hospital on tpn. But even still, I feel 43 in just over 2 months if pretty good. Starting weight was 250 & today I'm 207.
