  2. Congrats & Happy Surgiversary to all of you who have celebrated their one year post op (myself included). I lost a total of 63 pounds and have maintained that weight loss. I am happy to post a before & after pic (hope this works).

  4. Wow, Congrats...you look great!
  5. I have started a Facebook page for anyone that would like to join...just another place for us to come together. You can find it on your search field under VSGastrectomy Support...hope to see you there.
  6. So glad to hear you are doing well & welcome to the other side
  7. I'm gonna go with Ironman
  8. It definitely is a different experience...I'll leave it at that
  9. So, I have just experienced the stomach flu after being sleeved....just gotta say "this sucks!" Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have ever enjoyed having the flu but I'm pretty sure I am dehydrated.... Lost 3 pounds overnight!!! Scheduled Dr appt for tomorrow morning to get checked. This is my second day in a row that I can't keep anything down. I keep sipping on Gatorade & not sure what else to do. I pray that I never have to experience this again!
  10. You are welcome to use me as a reference if they would feel comfortable talking to me. I went TJ last September for my VSG. If you need my number send me a private message.
  11. I just want to say "thank you" to all the Sept Sleevers.... It's so good to know I'm in the same boat and not alone.
  12. No Laura, not you, just in general in most posts. I know people are looking out for others beat interest & I completely understand that. I just feel that we really need a reality check once in a while & WLS is a tool. To say that you're never going to ever have something, like a diet soda, or whatever, is unrealistic.....maybe I'm just having a reality check kinda day
  13. I forgot to add that soda was not on my approved list & I waited til I was approximately 6 mos pot op.
  14. Ok, enough brow beating for goodness sake. If you want a diet soda every once in a while, my Dr's advice, don't deny yourself. Treat yourself with a reward every once in a while. The surgery is a tool but we are human. We all have cravings & to deny yourself is basically not being realistic. I put lots of ice in mine & let it get watered down a bit or you can leave it sit out without the lid on to get flat. I can only drink a small amount & find once I've satisfied my craving I'm good again for quite a while.
  15. Moms3boys- you'll get there...stay focused & keep up the great work!
  16. Slojo- great job! Keep up the hard work, it's paying off
  17. Taking control- I just wanted to say thank you for not being judgmental....I just didn't want you to think I wasn't happy at 121.
  18. Oh how I wish I could. We all understand what you're going thru and it's completely normal.
  19. Well Pixie, welcome & you will find plenty of support along the way. If there is anything we can do for you, let us know.
  20. Sleeve of Steel- thoughts & Prayers are with you. I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
