Gastric Sleeve At Age 20

Recommended Posts

Hello Sleever's im new here and this is my biggest fear and concern in considering gastric sleeve surgery as one of my life changing decisions, so i need your help and opinion for sleever's who are men at the age of twenty. I am currently 20 and my weight is around 340 pounds and my height around 5/9, now my question is if i lose a lot of weight with this surgery will i have massive amounts of loose skin at my age? - now don't get me wrong i am doing this for my health mostly but considering my age this is an issue that pretty much scares me at times.

I think you can expect to have some loose skin but you are young enough that it should not be too dramatic. Also, if you haven't lost and gained large amounts of weight repeatedly, it probably will be better.

I am posting a link to this vlog because this guy (RobCubed) was 367 and has lost 185 pounds. I think he is about 30. He talks about loose skin in a couple of posts.

Good luck!

Go GO! Do it now! I wish I had done it at 20 and trust me, the excess skin is not a big deal and the sooner you have ti done the better your skin will bounce back. OH how I wish I were in my early 20s when I found out about the sleeve.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
