 I was approved for the sleeve on Tuesday so i thought, got the approval letter today and it said approved for gastric bypass WTF. Now i no that my advocate received the same letter why hasnt she brought this to my attention. I read somewhere that the wrong code can result in a delay, should i call her Monday or should i wait until i see my surgeon on the 25th thats when i receive my date.

I would suggest that you call and speak with his nurse on Monday. Then they can get the information resubmitted right away.

I had a slight problem with my approval and it took the insurance company about a week to straighten it out. Not sure if this is normal, but it is my experience.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to have my initial approved changed to the sleeve (I originally thought about band, but came to my senses) and it took about a week to get the change approved - definitely let them know as soon as you can.

My doctor got an approval for the sleeve and gastric bypass. If you have a hernia and the hernia is way too big, they will ask you before surgery, what you want to do. I had to okay, open gastric sleeve and laparascopic and I had to verbally approve open gastric bypass and laprascopic bypass, though my doctor and I both discussed no way I wanted the bypass, but when I was sitting there ready to go he came out and talked to me about it. Maybe that is what your surgeon did too? He told me if the hernia was too big he may have no choice but to to do bypass. I decided to say yes to bypass, but only if absolutely necessary. Luckily I just got sleeve.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
