I don't have a date yet, but I am really close. I have one more nutrition visit, only because my insurance changed the rules. Regardless, I find that I have such a spring in my step to know that I am getting help. The life line is there, I have a death grip on it and I am hanging out waiting to be pulled in. Reading as much as I can, gaining new friends and just excited as I can be. I feel like I did as a kid, waiting for camp to roll around. My bag was packed to weeks in advance and I was ready to go! I am ready to go and this process is so exciting that I can't wait until I have that spring in my step -- literally! :D

Yeah! It is exciting, the closer you get, isn't it?! :-)

I am finished with 4 out of 6 months required by my insurance. I've done all the classes (6 nutrition, 3 "my true body"), so I just have support group the end of June and July. I already completed the surgeon's meeting, the surgeon's nutrition class, and his support group...once I get official approval from insurance, things should move pretty quick...these months have actually flown by, to my surprise. I am hoping for late Sept/early Oct. for surgery... :-) I get more excited every day; I am so eager to start that next chapter!

Hope you get your surgery date soon!! :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
