The Pulmonologist ordered a sleep study to make sure I don't have sleep apnea before the surgery. Which is fine, I'd rather know and head off any possible complications.BUT, I have issues sleeping anywhere but home, how the heck am I going to be able to fall asleep in order to do this!! All the while knowing that I'm kinda being watched?! 0_o

I know that I am more than likely worrying over something that I shouldn't, I just can't help but to think about it.

Take a book and whatever your normal routine is before bed. After they hook up all the monitors and such, they'll turn the lights as low as you like. I take my body pillow and my quilt with me when I go. The first sleep study is the toughest because you have to get used to the mask if your test shows that you do have apnea episodes. Just do your best to relax and it will be over quickly. This isn't something to really stress about. You'll get through it easily. Heck, all you have to do for this test is literally sleep. :)

most Doc's will prescribe a sleeping tablet for a patient that is nervous about being able to sleep. Talk to them, they should call it in for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
