I am from Jefferson City and was sleeved on 4/11 in Columbia. I am tolerating food very well and have lost about 70# since Sept with 20 of that since surgery.

Definitely not. I'm still in too much pain to sit up in a chair for to long because of the location of my main incision. I have been waking up with an upset stomach everyday and by the time I get moving an take a shower I'm ready for some Tylenol from being so sore and laying down to rest. I'm giving it another week and I'm going to focus on healing that incision because I'm so ready to go back to work this being laid up crap isn't fun.

Hi everyone-I am new to the site. I am a patient of Dr. Minkin's, hopefully having my surgery done in September. I am halfway thru my 3 months of Dr. supervised weight loss. I have met with the surgeon. He seems great. Anybody else here have Minkin?

Hi, I'm from STL and having my sleeve with Dr Snow on nov 19. I was originally ached for Aug but decided to delay it because I am going on a 2 wk cruise and did not want to worry about complications away from home. So how are you doing now with the sleeve? I too have been torn between having band and sleeve. But I have done a lot of reading in FB groups and am leading towards the sleeve. Why did u decide to choose sleeve?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
