As anyone measured themselves and see that they are losing inches but the scale keeps going up? I don't want to hear throw away the scale because that's just not going to happen. I just want to know if this is a reality to anyone else.

The scale didn't move for a good 2-3 weeks for me and I FINALLY lost 3 pounds but myself and others around me have noticed I have lost inches. Doctor said he rather me weigh for example 290 and look like I weight 180 verses the other way around. So I try not to weigh myself unless it is at appointments or I'm at the gym.

Yep! I've been bouncing around the same 5lbs for over 6mths and lost a full dress size! The scales are only one way to measure success!

The body is a weird and wonderful machine and operates on many levels... as along as I am getting smaller, I am starting to not care that much about the numbers on the pesky scale!!

Glad that I am not alone. This is such a slow process.

rodswife... slow but sure wins the race!

When were you sleeved... I am 22mths out now, so I expect long periods of nothing... in saying that I am not gaining so all is well.

When I was first sleeved I went through many stalls and this has been my pattern.

Try to stay positive and you'll get there... let your body do what it needs to.

My surgery is tomorrow, so I have no idea what will happen on this particular journey, but I know in the past with other programs I've done I've had the scale stay the same and lost inches, so I know it's possible.

My husband is going to take my pictures & measurements today as my starting point & we plan to actually do pictures & measurements every Sunday from here on out to track everything. Every little quarter inch makes a difference! :-)

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. I'm so glad I did this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
