Happy New Year! Welcome back, MOM, and thanks again for organizing the Christmas challenge. And congrats to everyone for your lost weight, gone and never to return! Mim = :first: :clap2:

I assume we're starting the next challenge today? I'm up two pounds since my Christmas Day weigh in. I've had an awful time getting back in the groove after Christmas, but I'm ready to knuckle down and get to it. I have to admit to being a little concerned about actually losing 25 lbs. by St. Patty's Day, though. When I subtracted 25 lbs. from my current weight and saw 188, my immediate response was "No way!" I have a feeling that this next 25 lbs. will be a lot harder for me than the last 25! But, I do have some extra incentive for this challenge. We're going to Cancun for spring break the week following the challenge. Good timing, huh?

I've been uploading songs to my ipod for the last two days so I can take it to the gym with me. I got my iPod for Christmas last year, and I'm just now learning how to load songs. Does that show my techno ignorance or what? It's going to be a pleasure to listen to *my* music for a change instead of my 16-year old's!

Good luck to eveyone in the new challenge. Let's get busy!

Tami

Hi Everyone. I am so excited to be in this challenge with everyone. You seem to encourage and support each other so much and I definately need that. I don't really know if I ever really introduced myself. I am very ignorant to doing anything on the computer. Like I said before I was banded on 9/05/06 in Fort Atkinson, WI. I am a stay at home mom of two boys 12 and 14. My husband and I own 2 car dealerships in WI. I have been married for 15yrs. Been overweight since my children were born. Which has been a very long time.If I haven't tried the diet or diet pill it doesn't exist. My husband actually thought the surgery would be a good idea so he would get his old wife's personality and smile back. I actually missed it to. Has turned out to be life changing and has put the smile back on my face. Thanks for allowing me into this wonderful family and I hope I can return the inspiration that so many of you have given me. HERE'S TO A GREAT NEW YEAR FOR US ALL!

I relate here! I just updated my challenge ticker and it is almost surreal that it is even possible. I hit ONEderland this week and that itself was hard to believe! I haven't had a 1 infront of my weight since I was 21 and even then that was short lived.

Gonnabethin: You got it, 25lbs and optional 3 x a week exercise challenge!

Happy New Year!!!

I thought I'd post an update on the first day of the year.

December and the Christmas holidays were very good for me and my weight loss. Since classes are out and I took a few weeks of vacation from work I was able to be more active than previous months without changing my new band eating habits and it really paid off.

I've lost 17lbs since my last doctor appointment on dec. 5 bringing me to a total of 75lbs since being banded. I still haven't had a fill but I also have never been hungry or tempted to eat more than my band can hold.

anyhow i haven't been on the site in a couple of weeks and i hope everyone is doing well in their own journey.

:omg: Cory, good grief, that's amazing! Congrats on an incredible first 4 months!

Mim, congrats on reaching onederland! I can't wait to join you! I prefer to stick with Monday weigh-ins. It helps keep me from going too wild over the weekend.

Lauri & Mom, my hubby's in the auto biz, too. He's a consultant/trainer. He travels *a lot*, so we like to say we're still on our honeymoon even though we've been married for 26 years. Not much chance of getting sick of each other when we're only together 2 days a week, usually. (By the way, ummm...the "honeymoon" has really gotten spicy with weight loss! hehehe)

Sandy, to be honest, I just signed up at 3fatchicks for the weight loss ticker. I was having trouble figuring out how to do multiple tickers at tickerfactory. The one at 3fatchicks is really basic, and limited to weight loss only.

MimIn: Please log me in at 203. Do you want weight loss after this just like last time? Also, should we make an exercise goal of hours per week or some other way? Thanks for doing this. It really is helpful. I get a fill tomorrow, I hope it helps and itsn't too much. I have been so hungry lately.

Hey Karey,

The goal is to exercise 30 minutes 3 times a week. I am sure there are some of us that workout more (I go to the gym 5x a week and walk my dogs nightly) and some that workout less. I'm using a ticker from tickerfactory to track my exercise. In my opinion the exercise challange will help keep us on track with whatever we are doing to move our booties and not a bad idea to add a little bit more to challenge ourselves:)

MimIN

Please log me in at 198--it will change as tonight is my monthly doctor's appointment.

I'm going to attempt to add an exercise ticker, then get myself on the treadmill!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
