I had a meleuca vannilla here that my daughter had, i started on it over 3 weeks ago and really liked it....then got one from Walmart six star muscle whey vanillia, omg I cant stomach it its so sweet like artifical...i tried it with skim milk, coffee, and blended with some fruit I dont think I will make it through it at all, then been having Darigold Reful premixed chocolate and Peanut Butter there pretty good but expensive....Also ordered off Amazon the Gold Standard Carmel toffe fudge its pretty good. Have ordered some of the unjuiry samples also and seen some fairly good samples reasonable on someones post that looks like nice samples , Do have the bullets from walmart in watermelon there pretty sweet but tolerable

So you tried the watermelon bullets. I bought both watermelon and grape. Does it taste like watermelon? I hear the sweetness is pretty tough and I also hear we can mix them in Water. So I plan on drinking alil water out of the bottle and adding. I'm hoping it will taste almost like my water enhancers..

The bullets are quick Protein Shots. The ones I bought have 42 grams of Protein in a 3.something ounce shot. Easy way of reaching protein goals before and after surgery.

Yes i just opened one and took a sip of it, my curiosity gets to me, does taste like watermelon kooliaidy type, very sweet, it is tolerable. I just am not a real sweet type drink person but I can stomach it compared to that Six brands protien drink.

I wonder if we can take the bullets on plane with us? Does it have to be clamied as the 3-1-1 or how ever that is for liquids.< /p>

maybe I should leave them hear and buy some once we get into San Antonio...I am thinking of taking a water bottle, empty, till you go through security, then feeling it at water fountain for mixing with the different packets of crystal lite etc, but then ya have to also worry of going to the tiny little bathroom so much also...flying from utah to San antonio....will be so nice one day not to have to think of plane rides and fiting ok...asking for seat belt extensions etc...not fitting great in the seats...thank goodness hubby is going with me and next to me in the seat, the rows is just two seats together so much smaller plane

Is your luggage only going to be carry on? I would ask Susan if they can go on the plane. I know according to the paperwork its recommended that we bring a few bullets with us, but not required. I for one have no idea why being they don't allow us anything but Ice chips afterwards until day 2 we can do some Water. Of course this may be different for everyone as well. Not sure.

Texas here as well. Further south, I'm below Austin. I am choosing to go to Mexico cause thats where the doctor I felt most comfortable with is.

Dont think we will be able to take those watermelon bullets, they are 3.8 oz and requlations is 3.4 oz...so might have to buy them after the plane ride down....but I am also confused when you can even use them...maybe it is just incase as they do say bring them so need to find some under the weight, heck even bullets need to weigh lol.....

here is the plane regulations..

311-3.gifAll liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3.4 ounce (100ml) or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or smaller.

311-1.gifAll liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.

311-1.gifEach traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
