I'm eating my pudding now, I'm so surprised by how little of it I can actually fit in me. I think I was done after about 2 tablespoons. And it really did thicken up over night so it had a nice sticky texture, exactly like tapioca. I think chia seeds are the new quinoa.

Oh man you are all eatting so healthy.. and here I am eatting chocolate cover dried fruit things...Dean avert your eyes :)

Dont know about you other women in here, but that TOM i want and can eat a significant amount of food, usually really bad. Quantities of which I would never fit in any other time... Atleast it is only a couple of days a month eh

Lots of insoluble fibre fills you up quick, eh? Heaps of Omega 3 too. I really like it.

Hi everyone, my name is Angie and I'm currently on my pre-op diet in preparation for my February 12th surgery date! I'm starting to get really excited and can't wait to start living my new life! I started at 111kg with a BMI of 42, I am now 4 days into my pre-op diet and am down to 108kg. I live on the north coast of NSW, so am having my surgery with Dr Gregory Nolan at Allamanda Private Hospital on the Gold Coast. I totally trust my surgeon and am so glad that he is doing my sleeve. I look forward to chatting with you all over the coming weeks and months!

Forgot to mention, weighed in at my surgeons and I am 65kg so GOOOOOOAL!! I am so happy - BMI of 23! I can't quite believe it!

My hair loss has stopped (not exactly growing back yet) - hey I learnt something interesting from my dietician, I was eating heaps of Brazil nuts thinking I was doing the right thing and I found out that the selenium in these nuts can be toxic! She told me not to eat more than four a day!!! Yikes - guess what one of the symptoms of poisoning is - hair loss!!! I had stopped eating so many over Christmas (I had gone to chocolate over this period!!) and coincidentally that is when my hair loss tapered off! Who knows, but interesting.

That's amazing!!! Well done!!! Something to be very proud of. Congratulations.

I had no idea Brazil nuts were toxic in high quantities. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness that is amazing! Congratulations, you must feel incredible! I hope you are planning something spectacular to reward yourself!!

Thinks I need someone to talk to. Ive haven't lost weight since my weigh in just under a month ago. Going back to see my surgeon on Tuesday, to get a talking to and some eating suggestions. I have just finished 3 weeks of Clinicals for my nursing degree. It was hard to find small servers of good food at the hospital.

Thought my weight lose had just platooed at 10kgs after a month.. No Idea whats happening.

Anyone good at motivation speaking. Would love to hear from you.

Sarah

Sorry Sarah,

I don't think I would be much help, I am pretty new and a slow type loser.

All I can suggest is try not to let it get you down, but I know how I would feel.

Have you done measurements?

That's the way I cheer myself up, I don't lose much on the scales but am losing lots of cm's

Choc Chia pudding

And

Ribs Spice Rub

Right!

Just to let you know, I made the pudding this arvo so can wait to try it, I did taste the almond milk with everything in it before I put the chia seeds in it and it was so chocolately, I may have to adjust it to my taste. I used agave nectar instead of the maple syrup too.

Was as woolies, and seen a pack of beef ribs and remembered Deans recipe for the rub, well needless to say my boys are havin Deans Famous Ribs tomorrow night. Wish I could have some but no beef for me yet…patience :-)

Hi Sarah, sounds like you have had a stall and that's very common, so don't beat yourself up too much. I've had the same on many occasions and it always seems to sort itself out. Maybe review your dietician notes, or contact them again. I've started tracking my food via an onlne diary myfitnesspal and this has helped. Also maybe you are not eating enough? Keep positive and keep your eye on your end goal. Most of us took many years to put the weight on, so if it takes a little while to come off we should still be very happy. Focus on the positives of loss so far in kgs and cms.
