Any redness and are they hot to the touch???? Are you doing alot of walking since your surgery???

If it persist I would call the doctor and tell them your symptons. First thing that comes to my mind would be a blood clot...

If it continues, I would call your Dr./Nurse. Maybe a warm bath will help?

I'd call the doctor now. I did have a blood clot and they are BAD NEWS. I have a tendency to assume blood clots with unusual leg pain, I know, but the phone call will not hurt anything. Clots are a big risk for those of us who are early post-op. They are a big risk for obese people, period.

I was sent home with a blood thinner for the first three weeks. I am not happy about the injectable but they say blood clots can be common with this surgery. Please call your doctor. Get well my friend!!!

Have you been in bed a lot with the sheets tucked in? If so, this can keep your feet bent down and will tighten your calves/heels until they're sore. I do agree with checking with doctor to rule out clots. But I learned while recovering from knee surgery that something as simple as the sheets being too tight can also do that.

Also, when you are sore in the core muscles of your body - the rest of your body can try to compensate. You may just be using those muscles more than you realize when you're on the move.

I had one as well and the doctors scared the mess out of me with all the test and dopplers and medicine...no fun at all

Definitely call the doctor and have it checked out. Rule out a blood clot first because it's the most serious thing.

But, truthfully, when I read your post, the first thing I though was - Calcium deficiency. Especially if there's cramping too.

In any case, we can all guess and post our guesses, but the doctor has to see you and check it out for real.

Good luck!

Eileen

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
