I am new to this forum. I just started my precertification process for my surgery. It takes 6 months so I am looking to have surgery in Dec/Jan. I am looking forward to the journey.

Hi! I'm 34 and waiting to be sleeved on 8/31. Insurance won't cover it, apparently I'm not fat enough. They want me on my deathbed before they'll pay. So, instead I'll be heading to Mexico at the end of next month.

I'm planning to start the diet next week. It's not required for me but seems wise. I've already started to wean myself of caffeine, so hard! I loooove coffee, guess I'll have to go decaf. sigh.

Frza, I will be with you on 8/31 :-) We have a similar BMI, mine is 37.5. I arrive on 8/30.
