Dasani flavored water!!

Recommended Posts

I always drank cokes and thought that would be hard to quit, but I found a new drink that has 0% everything. Dasani flavored water is really good and good for you. So far I drink one in the morning, one about 1:30 and then one at night. They fill me up and my doctor told me to keep drinking them they cant hurt anything. Just thought someone might want to try them when replacing cokes..

We were buying the flavor splash ones (can't remember who makes them) until the Dannon/Nestle waters went on sale and we realized they were even better.

We haven't gotten any recently, but I like them much better than Crystal Light...

That's great you found something to replace soda. :clap2: I get the generic "Crystal Light" from Walmart. They have all different flavors, and it's 6 tubs (each makes a 2 qt pitcher) for less than $2. Cherry is my favorite. I just got strawberry and peach but haven't tried them yet. I was a big soda junkie and thought I would have troubles adjusting but as time has gone on, I don't miss it. I think if I had a taste I'd be in trouble though.

My surgeon informed me that many, many of his patients still drink diet sodas and have never kicked the habit. He says the only reason they tell you not to drink carbonated beverages is because of the "gas" it can cause and this varies in people. I gave it a try and drank a diet root beer with no repercussions at all...no gas...no nothing. If the only problem is the gas then it is no problem for me. He says that in no way does a carbonated beverage damage or hinder the band in any way.......so if you need that diet soda and want to give it a try go for it. I've had no problem.

The dasani flavored water is pretty good but my favorite drink is Propel Strawberry-Kiwi! 10 calories and it's sooooooooooooooooooooo good! Even my husband drinks it and he usually will drink nothing but mountain dew (yuck!)

I've been drinking soda when I shouldn't have and I ended up with really bad pain on my side which I am assuming was gas. When I stopped drinking it I felt a lot better. I drink flavored water and crystal light and some times unsweet tea when I need something with flavor.

I gave up soda after my last fill....Ouchy! COLD TURKEY QUITTER

You only need one air golfball to learn that lesson. I just gave it a little shake/stir until then and had no problems.

Tea is great, I keep some in the fridge all the time. Propel makes me swell. It has a lot of sodium (for water).

I put Water or crystal light in the empty bottles and even freeze them for take-aways. Give 'em a little squish first so they don't crack or leak in the freezer.

YUP....it is crystal light for me (basically the same as flavoured water!!). I'll also squeeze some lemon into regular Water and it is just as good.

Here (Canada) not only do they charge extra for the "flavoured" Water (as opposed to the non-flavoured)...they also charge tax on it (whereas they don't on the non-flavoured).

I also still drink my caffeine free diet pepsi....no probs! Of course, I don't drink as much as I used to...but when I do, I have no gassy probs!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
