What Do I Do With All These Protein Shake Mixes?

When I went to the doctor for pre-op, the NUT suggested I buy the nutrition shake mixes they had in the office. I did. I purchsed a box each of vanilla and chocolate BariCare sn\hake mixes and 7 pouches of each strawberry and Orange Chike shake mixes. I don't like any of them. To make matters worse (or better , I can't tell) my mom went to Sam's club and purchased a 5lb bag of Protein shake mix and a tub of Protein Shake mix. I have this stuff coming out of ears. I am about to start soft fooads in a few days and I have purchased RTD shakes that I can tolerate to drink for Breakfast. Someone please help me on what I can do with all rhis shake mix!!!!!!!

** I'll be 5 weeks post op on Tuesday

Where did you get the free samples from shortypants? I'm the plan ahead type and really, really want to stock up on stuff, but I'm refraining due to everyone's advice.

I agree with topgun! I have 5 jars of Syntrax mix in my cupboard that I drank before my operation but CANNOT stand now. I feel like I've thrown over a $100 down the drain.

Don't buy anything until after surgery....your tastebuds will change.

Ditto from me--I stocked up before surgery only to find that post-op, Sleevie rejected any and all protein drinks. NOT a good use of my pre-surgery spending. Maybe get a couple of single-serving packets or something, but try those first before investing, and definitely wait until after surgery--things can change.

Just the other day, I noticed a thread here that talks about samples - some are free, some you have to pay for shipping, some you have to buy - I was just looking at it again since I have to start my pre-op diet in a week. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/forum/78-protein-drinkspowders/

I'm now using my protein powder as creamer for my coffee. I'm able to tolerate most of them that way and I get a protein boost as well. :)
