and I'm nervous, excited, ready...well, all kinds of feelings. I'd like to find a support group either online or in person starting soon. Anyone know where to look?

Thanks.

Hi! Welcome to the group!! I'm finding this site a great support group. Also, does your hospital offer support groups for WLS?

Hi Lori. Welcome to the group. Hope you find a lot of support here. It sure has been wonderful for me. Take care and keep us posted on how things are going for you. I am in the pre-op liquid diet phase right now, counting down to April 16.

I have a support group through my doctor's office, maybe ask him/her or your nut.

Hey April VSG WLS folks! I had my sleeve done 4/11/12. Went from 290 to 275 in one week (not sure if that’s normal). Eating lots of Soups through a strainer. But I think I'm kicking the carb desires. I never was a sugar person. I'm a typical High School football player that didn't stop eating after he stopped working out.

I have my two week Nutrition checkup and should be moving to pureed food. I like cottage cheese and applesauce so I’m hoping that will help with motivation.

Now I’m trying to get in 2 miles a day….pushing myself cause if I don’t do well after this jump start…I have bigger issues. Ha, ha, ha.

Anyone have any good tasting and satisfying meals for phase 2?

Thanks,

Hey Lori and Coach,

I also had my sleeve done on 4/11/12. I am very glad to have found this group. Let's all lose the weight together and keep it off for life.

Good luck to all the April 2012 VSG folks!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
