I'm so excited yet afraid...glad this journey is almost over.. if anyone has an encouraging word or any advice please share

My new date is April 24th! How are you preparing for surgery?

Well ive been attempting to eat better in preparation for my liver shrink which I start on April 11... Congrats on your surgery

Maybe we can all help each other out. My surgery date is April the 27th with Dr. Garcia and to be honest I'm more scared about the plane ride..It's my first time. lol

well im probably not the best person to encourage you about that lol.. i rode a plane ONCE and i told God in prayer that if he got me off that ONE time..id never get on again lmbo!! so far ive kept my promise to him..

I'm being sleeved by Dr Garcia on April 23rd. Haven't rode a plane in 25 years. Nervous about fitting into the seat! Hopefully your plane ride is short!

Well maybe I'll see you there Jthurman. I arrive on the 26th and I've never been on a plane before EVER! lol My plane ride isn't short either. I'm flying from Philadelphia but I did manage to get exit row seating for all the flight's except for 1. I was told those seats are a bit more roomier.

It's okay Anewlifeforme. I see you have your hangups about planes as well. Some way, some how. I'll manage..lol

Oh, geez. I can't remember which Hotel it is (I know) I should remember these things, but I believe Alma told me the Marriott as well. So you'll be leaving out the day of my surgery. Will you be traveling alone?

No my stepmom is coming with me. We should be able to see each other though!

Yes, we should be able to see each other. I 'll be with my husband, but I'd love to come by and see you if you're not too tired or groggy.

Is this the Tijuana Marriott you guys are talking about? If so count me in on this party! I come in Monday and leave Friday! I am leaving my husband at home, lol

I have my date now also..I will be having it on the 23rd here in Colorado and I am soooo excited and terrified at the same time. For calming purposes, I try to constantly remind myself that I have done everything the surgeon has told me to do...I quit smoking 7 months ago and I am losing weight prior to the surgery. I am following the pre-op diet to the dime and after the surgery I will comply with every instruction. I have the utmost confidence in the surgeon I have and everything else is out of my control and in God's hands. Try to remember this and you will find some peace while you prepare for your new life.
