I'm 3 weeks out today, and looked down at my lowest lap site to see..... 1 cm of white suture sticking out, in a loop. WTF? Odd that it should decide to make an appearance now. Now wonder why that site's been so itchy!

I also have that with my lower left. Funny thing is, my upper right one opened up a bit as the glue wore away and I don't see any there. LOL

I was sleeved 4/12..... To date I have hardly NO APPETITE! I am thirsty alot and the smell of Protein grosses me out. Its rough lol. I am getting in my Water but am soooo over this Protein Shake stuff! Are any other early April Sleevers going thru this?

I was sleeved 4-10 and feel the same way! I wish I could guzzle water! I tried special K protein and that seems to be ok even tho it has 18 g of sugar. It doesn't make me vomit! I like the babyel light cheese!

I have just been sleeved 2 wks. ago and am starting to get hungry on some days. I am worried that I am not going to lose weight.

I too am done with the Protein Shakes, and am glad that I found one in a shot form so I don't think that I am drinking just for my Protein. It is at the point that I don't want to eat just too keep the calories low. I am averaging 650 calories a day. Some days are lower and 2 days were close to 800. When doing so I am averaging 70 grams of protein.

My doctor wants me to transition to solid food for protein to make it as natural as possible when it is safe to. I know it is not good, but I am on the scale almost everyday and it worries me when i don't see the scale going down when I am in the "honeymoon" phase of my surgery

Any suggestions?

Step Away From the SCALE! I am 3 weeks out and I only touch a scale at the Dr.'s right now.

I had to quit weighing. Once I got off the liquids, which was mostly Soup, saltines, broth, I started losing. I think all of the sodium, even though a lot of what I ate was low sodium, made me retain Water. I did not lose any weight on my pre-op liquid diet...again, I think it was too high in sodium. Also, I noticed that I will weigh the same thing for four or five days, and then all of a sudden, I have afive or six pound drop. My friend said she would stay the same for a month, and then drop 10 - 12 pounds. She did that consistently for 6 months... So everybody loses a little differently. Again, don't forget the NSVs...they are very important. I Celebrate something every single day. Like, for instance, I painted my toenails. I actually gave myself a pedicure. That has not happened in a couple of years. I could actually cut my toenails, push back the cuticle, and paint them....my bladder incontinence has completely disappeared. I have only lost 30 pounds, and already, there are a mutlitude of victories and things to be grateful for. I can only imagine what is in store for us!!!!!

Thank you Ladies,

I will stay away from the scale from now on. Kiki, I think you are right. The sodium can cause it as well and after I posted I found out another reason that I can retaining Water

so I will wait until my 4 wk post op and see where I am at. I will let the little accomplish out weigh the scale for the moment

I was 10 pounds down at 1 week. I did not weigh at 2 weeks, and then I had heard about the 3-week stall...so at 4 weeks, I am down 24. I weighed a few times and it wasn't moving, and then I waited a few days and it was down 6 pounds...so I try not to weigh every day or think about it every day. I have probably lost 31 pounds total...I did not lose weight on pre-op liquid, but lost about 7 or 8 pounds during the month before surgery.

I am exactly three weeks out, and tomorrow I start soft foods. I love the Protein Shakes and how easily I get in my Protein, so I'm worried that I will gain weight when I transition to food. I've just started getting a little bit hungry, but what will happen when I get real food tomorrow? I'm really worried :$

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
