Congrats! I know exactly how you feel. I started my journey at 440 pounds and now 5.5 months post surgery I'm down 107 pounds. It is a great feeling and I wish you continued success. 200's here we come!

WOW! That is what I want to do! I just don't think I will be that successful! You have any secrets?

WOW! That is what I want to do! I just don't think I will be that successful! You have any secrets?

First you need to think that you will be successful! We have a tendency for beating ourselves up and not thinking we will succeed because of our MANY failed attempts in the past (at least that is how it was for me). But I really got motivated reading other people's post on this site. Also, My doctor wanted me to wait 2 months before starting a more strenuous workout plan, only walking till that point. Once those 2 months were up I really became a gym rat. I love it, even got a trainer and everything. I workout 4-5 times a week usually.

We are here if you ever need to voice your concerns or need inspiration. It really is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life but I'm looking forward to what the future holds. Sometimes I get discouraged thinking that even now I am the size most people are before they have surgery, not after loosing 100+ pounds. But we will get there, just may take us a little longer than others!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
