A friend nurse advised to me to have Anis herbal tea (Yansoune) twice a day and it really helped with lots of walking. I was sleeved on 26th and the pain from gaz was worse than surgery itself. You will find in the international food section.

O Deb I feel your pain. The gas was the worse part of surgery. (I thought) This is what I did.

I stopped taking the narcotics ASAP. Alot of people don't know this but narcotics constipate you terribly. It's hard to give them up because they do help with the pain but its just temporary and when they wear off the pain is twice as bad.

I drank some hot tea. Eh I guess that did help a little bit.

The best thing I did (my secret weapon!) was rock, on a rocking chair. I rocked on that chair everyday and it seriously did help. I also made sure to walk around alot.

I hope this helps you and that you feel better.

Try the Gas X strips...you don't have to chew anything up...they seem to work for others! Good luck neighbor (I am in Upper Marlboro MD) :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
