Had to call 911 to save my own life.

Nurses hid the buzzer & the controls on both sides of the bed did not work.

I was in a lot of pain & could not call for help.

I was bleeding internally.

Could not scream. Could not bang on anything. Could not get out of bed.

I laid there for only God knows how long before I saw the telephone w/the long cord.

I could not reach the phone. Somehow I managed to squeeze thru the bars on the bed

and grab the phone cord with my two fingers. (Thank God for Tall Man & Pointer)

Then I had to rest.

I fished the cord up then could not think of phone numbers because of cells phones.

All we do is press Linda, Mom, etc.

I did not even know how to get an outside line so I dialed "0".

I gave them my name & said I need help now and I don't know what room or floor I am on

but I am in their hospital and need help now.

They said OK, we will send someone.

Nobody came.

I kept suffering.

I called "0" again. This time there was no answer.

I could not tolerate the pain anymore. I was fighting for my life.

Then I called 911 and told them who I was and where I was.

911 Called the hospital and sent security to my room.

Once I saw the policeman, I fainted.

IT'S TRUE. PEOPLE DO HOLD ON UNTIL THEY SEE THE ONE THEY WANT THEN THEY GIVE UP.

I filed a suit against the Dr and the Hospital and the Medical Review Panel said they did nothing wrong. In Louisiana, a Dr. can cut off your wrong leg & the max that you can sue for is $100k.

They lied. The Lawyer & Doctors on the Panel "Threw me under the bus & watched each other roll over on me."

Kim, now I am the one to be extremely upset - how dare yo uattempt to use free legal resources if you are going on cruises every other month? Teh system is not to leech off of. those services are for people who need them. It is not an entitlement.

WRONG AGAIN.... I AM NOT UPSET BECAUSE I GAINED THE WEIGHT BACK.... I never lost the weight.

How could you talk to 911 and the hospital operator but couldn't yell to get a nurses attention?

I called 911 on the phone.

Do you know how to call the nurses station on a telephone?

You can't even call 411 for information on a hospital phone.

I agree with the fishy comment. I think some things are not being remembered correctly.

The only fishy thing is what really happened to me & why.

Still, I do not know.

They put what they want in medical records.

They are well trained by Doctors & Staff before they write.

Kim - Sorry you went through all of this. This is something that no one should go through. Sounds like you got the wrong end of the deal here. Praying for you that things turn out right.

I have read this whole thread, all I have to say is their is so many holes in your story, no wonder people are replying the way they are. As for lawyers , they love this kind of stuff, so why u can not get one is beyond me. If this happened to me I would be questioning what went wrong, the part of u wiggling your way thru the bed rails is where I have a prob, if you were so week how could this be. Then you say for 3 days they lost you ,, woke up to sister by your bed, again. Why was she not there to begin with. Then u say your daughter is a lawyer, my gawd holes after holes. Sorry but if you are taking cruises every month or other, then you are not that bad off, physically or sickly. Not like you are hiding under a rock, so to go out in public obviously is not that bad for ya. I know some that will not leave their house because of their insecurities of the way they look, the way u started this thread is soooooo bad, I for 1 that will be having my surgery next week, thought omg, my worst nightmare, they just had. Sorry but like I said way to many inconsistencies in your story, you sound like someone that just wants attention. It is so sad u chose this forum,

One would like to think that they are "in good hands" when they are a patient in a hospital. After all that is the place where Ambulances rush people to when they need medical help.

To me it is to many inconsistencies with the story, when I first read it was omg, then as she kept writing I was like omg, does she know what she is writing/ saying, sad but true

Sweetie, I do not need attention.

All I did was post my story, today.

First time since June 10, 2010.

I don't go around people that knew me when I was young & thin.

I know what they say & think.

One friend looked at me and said, "It's ok, you are still beautiful."

I wanted to die. he was saying, it's ok that you got fat but...

If there are holes in my story... it's simply because I have jumped fm one scene to another. I have truthfully answered everyone's question & have been commended, insulted, accused of lying, etc.

All I did today was try to tell my story.

I regret posting on this page.

All I did was offend people.

Imagine how I feel being victimized once again.

Didn't get to where I am staying home eating bon bons.

yes, my daughter is an attorney.

She has a JD. She is studying International Law in England.

She does not want to practice law in Louisiana.

Even though she graduated fm Loyola Law School in LA.

She can't help me with malpractice in Louisiana.

5 Law firms turned down this case because it will cost too much money to prove malpractice & they are personal friends but it's business. Not enough money.

No permanent damage done to get the money card.

If I got paralyzed, lost a limb... they would take the case.

TO THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT THIS SURGERY.

DO IT.

MAKE SURE SOMEONE STAYS WITH YOU UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF THE WOODS.

My little Sister had the same surgery. Performed by the same Doctor but a different Hospital.

She is 4'10.

She went fm a size 18 to 4 in one year.

It works.

MAKE SURE SOMEONE SLEEPS OVER NIGHT WITH YOU.

Your story is nothing to laugh about, it is serious stuff, I guess if you did make a mistake it was more how the title of the thread started. I for 1 hope you find the peace and happiness. Life throws us curve balls, we all can handle it.
