Yes they are vey bad for you and your doing this great thing... The sleeve for ur health.... Then u will die too young from emphysema or COPD which is basically drowning in ur own lung secretions on dry land ! Trust me saw it happen to my mom!

You're only 16?? You should just stay quit. TRUST me. I started smoking at 13... and I quit a month ago in prep for my sleeve. I'm never going back. If I feel the need to smoke socially at a party or something I'll get an E-cig and use a non nicotene liquid in it. You don't need that monkey on your back!

Whenever you want.....enjoy the lung cancer and ulcers in your stomach you get from doing it. Seriously.....why would you put yourself through surgery just to do something stupid like that.

Not being rude, but as an educator, you don't need to smoke at your age, and definitely not after bariatric surgery. You are mature now, because you made a great decision about health. Smoking is not healthy for you

Why would you subejct your body to that? Cancer, emphysema, blood clots, stroke - all an increased risk after having a surgery. You're young - 16 years old. About the age I was when I started smoking. I quit 5 years ago and I'll NEVER subject myself to that death sentence again. Its not an "if" you end up with more medical issues, its a guaranteed WHEN. I thought you were trying to be healthy! There is nothing at all cool about it. You smell NASTY when you smoke.

You have made a very grown up decision as a man to improve your health - why would you go back to making the childish decision to smoke?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
