I Feel A Stabbing Pain In My Large Incision

Recommended Posts

Anyone else have this? I was running errands all day and feel like I may have overdone it but want to check with you guys. No fever, no chills just a really sharp stabbing pain. I was sleeved 1/31/12

Thanks

I was sleeves on 2-13, and I felt that since day one. Today I found out that the muscle under that incision was torn and they stiched it so that's why I'm having so many pains there.

However your surgery was way before me and you should have noticed it before so I doubt that's what it is, tho it's one possibility.

Good luck and I hope you discover the cause very soon.

My surgeon told me that all who get sleeved have a muscle cut through then stitched. It is necessary to cut the muscle in order to get to the stomach. I too got a stabbing pain where that muscle was cut and stitched. It went away after about three weeks after surgery.

I was having a sharp pain on my left side a couple of days ago so I called my Doctor and he said that I had overdone it. There is a muscle they have to go through to get to your stomach. I was told to slow down and it is feeling alot better nowl. Hopefully you've just done the same and it will get better soon but remember if you have any doubt call your Doctor and ask him.

Yup - I have (had) it. It's getting so much better. But if I overdo it I know it because that's the center of any pain I feel. Doc says four weeks seems to be the magic number for this pain going away. Feel better!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
