Point Of No Return..... Feb 7Th 2012 @ 0930Hrs Cst!

Well, here goes nothing. I have made it to the brink of the new life. I get sleeved in just a few hours. Those of you who have been before know the things I'm feeling at this moment and the others will be here soon.

Thanks to everyone of you...... I have been pretty doped up today.... All is well. I am sore but not overwelmingly. I had three procedures rolled into one though. I had the sleeve done as well as having my gall bladder removed. The doc also fixed a hiatal hernia while he was in there. They said I will be sore from all three different procedures in different areas. Even so it's no that bad. What is worse than the pain is that I can't have anything to drink until in the morning. Thats almost 36 hrs. without a drink. I am a Water drinking fool and I could really use some. For those of you that are still waiting you can rest assured that you can do it.......

Thanks again,

Mater

So glad to hear you are doing well... Congrats and have a great VSG journey, thanks for keeping us updated.

Welcome to the Loser's Bench!! It's a great place to be!!! Get rest!! Speedy recovery!!!

Good for you, Mater! I had my gall bladder out too. Unfortunately it flaired up bad about 3 weeks before my sleeve surgery so I got 2 operations.

I had a rough night last night and today but I am pretty sure it is not related to the sleeve. I caught a stomach flu that is going around and so did my 2 granddaughters and my daughter who live with me. We are all bazookas, out both ends, quite unpleasant. A bunch of sick puppies here.

good luck !!!! i should be joining you next month :biggrin5: keep us posted congrats

Mater,

You are a couple of days post op now, Am just writing to inquire how you are feeling? Is the soreness getting better? Are you up and around, walking to get rid of all that nasty gas?

Three procedures in one surgery, you REALLY got your moneys worth!!! I am sure it is such a relief to be on the other side; I remember how good I felt just knowing that it was over!

Take it easy, sip that Water, walk, walk, walk! And keep us posted. We all want to know how you are doing!
