Hi Everyone,

I have posted something like this before. I thought it might be a good time to repost this and see if it helps anyone.applause.gif

Things aren't always as they appear. Sometimes what seems to be the end is really just a new beginning. Like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. batlashes.gif

I remember a time when it felt like nothing could go right. The whole world appeared to be teamed up against me. But I kept on moving forward, even when I couldn't tell exactly where I was going.asleep.gif

I found in life it's not about attaining a goal. What's most important is who we become during our pursuit. I happen to like who I have become.deal.gif

If every day is starting to feel like a struggle and your desires appear to be getting further and further away- Stop. Take a minute to breath and read through these Encouragement Quotes. I love quote and I am alway reading them.heart.gif

These of some things I have put together to encourage you when you are having a hard time, or your weight loss has slowed down or it has stalled, or someone is “bullying” you, or they are giving you a hard time about having weight loss surgery. Or you are just having a BAD DAY. We all have had some of these things happens to us during the process of weight loss or the planning of having WLS. I hope they are a little helpful.cool3.gif

1.Learn from others who have been down that road and popped out on the other side- successful, empowered, and matured as human beings.—Unknown Author

2.When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hand on—Franklin D. Roosevelt.

3.When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile—Author Unknown

4.The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be only the beginning—Ivy Baker Priest.

5.It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves—Edmund Hillary. This happens to be one of my favorite quotes and it has gotten me through a lot of tough times in my life.

6.If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick up one of those pieces up and begin again.—Flavia Weedn

7.Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. –M. Kathleen Casey

8.It is not easy taking my problems one at a time when they refuse to get in line.—Ashleigh Brilliant

9.Rock bottom is good solid ground, and a dead end street is just a place to turn around—J.R. Cobb

Some things I want you to consider—just some thoughts of my own.

Success is not a race, be patient.

Success leads to success.

Success is always a work in progress.

Success doesn't come to you--you go to it.

Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process.

Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it.

Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying.

Every day is a good day to SUCCEED!

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. gossip.gif

Hi,

I thought they were pretty powerful. Sometimes just that little boost is helpful, or just what you need to continue on with your success.

Thanks for the comments,

Suzanne

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
