I think more information is probably needed - what are you eating? When are you drinking?

Are you taking an acid reducer?

I was wondering the same things...how much are you eating at one time...when does the pain come? Are you asking if the pain is hunger or do you feel hunger and pain?

I tend to get a stomach pain when I eat sugary stuff? I'm in agreement with everyone on what your eating, amounts your eating, etc. ;)

I know if I eat too fast, or don't chew my food well enough I have issues. I make sure after I eat I wait the full 30 minutes to eat as well as 30 minutes prior. As long as I follow these I am good. Oh and I can't eat spicey yet, but it's only been 5 months. Nothing sweet either, things taste way too sweet to me now.

Based on the fact you mention you get hungry AFTER eating, I'm willing to go out there and say it's acid. Our sleeves will still create (or try to) as much acid as it did pre surgery, so we get a big over abundance of it. It may feel like hunger to some people.

Are you on any kind of acid blockers or PPI's? I'm on Zegerid and it seems to help a great deal. I know many others take either prescription or Prevacid, or Nexium.

Maybe you should ask your Dr. about it, or try some OTC medications to help you. Good luck!

o thank you guys i am not on any acid tablets and i have had a weatabix for breakfast a small slim fast cottage pie for dinner and jacket potatoe wid a small fish cake for tea, i usual have a packet of snack a jacks as my snack today

Hi Sheila :)

Aside from the Acid issue, I'm also thinking that you're probably feeling hunger as well due to the amount of carbohydrates you're eating. Normally when I'm eating all carbs, I will get really hungry and really fast too. My body just burns right through it. Perhaps when eating your carbs, couple it with some dense Protein as well. Eat the Protein first, then the carbs next. Also you might fare well with eating more vegetables.

Good luck to you! This isn't easy to figure out what works and what doesn't. Hang in there and keep on pushing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
