Oh, YEAH, losing weight will help with knee pain! I had such bad pain I couldn't walk very well before surgery. Yesterday, I was be-bopping around at the hospital for our WLS support group meeting, and it's held in the cafeteria, which is always somewhere out of the way in a hospital. I had no pain and, as a matter of fact, I walked out to my car and back twice for different things. No way I'd have done that before surgery. Before surgery, I'd have made sure I had everything together to carry in at once and I'd have made my way at a snail's pace from my car to the cafeteria. Now I dont' mind walking. It's fun and it's exercise!!

I have RA in my knees, or so I was diagnosed about a year before surgery. Taking 81 pounds off my knees has made it much more enjoyable to walk in the mall, walk to the mailbox, dance (okay, only at home so far), walk on the treadmill, do some leg squats, work in the yard, etc.

Yes!! It will help with everything. I sometimes feel like I'm floating. I am sure I feel much lighter than I am in reality but having so much weight off of you makes a major difference. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it is not to have that extra weight killing your back and knees!

I can't wait! My knees and my back are my biggest problems and reason for getting a sleeve. I'm even trying to figure out how I'm going to work to the holding area to get prepped for surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
