Thank you Vance, hearing from someone just two weeks out keeps me encouraged. I have not had a lot of pain and as long as I sip small and slow I can keep down the clear liquid diet so far. I was wondering why I feel a little tender in my lower abdomen but only when I get up or down from sitting or laying and when I walk around it seems to stretch out and be better. Did you experience anything like that early on and did it go away? I am waiting for a call back from the nurse in the surgeons office to ask her about it. It hurts just a little but not bad.

Kerensa

Thanks for writing and I am glad to have someone to share the day with also.

Sounds like you are doing pretty well now. Congratulations to you and good luck.

For the ticker go to tickerfactory.com and design your ruler and marker after you are done you can cut and past the URL info into your signature in this site and it will show. You will have to keep updating the tickerfactory.com web site with you loss info for it to change.

I have been very fortunate to not have had any nausea so far. I took a pill before my surgery that the md had prescribed to keep the nausea at bay following surgery and I have a script for Zophran that I take before taking the liquid pain med so it doesn't make me sick.

I'm actually sipping on my first Protein shake today and it's going down well. I can definitely tell if I sip too much lol doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable.

Thank you Patti! I'll get a ticker set up later. Good luck to you as well....I think we're gonna be just fine :D

Yes, I felt that tenderness in my lower abdomen, but as you said, only when I got up or sat down. I think everyone has that. I don't think it is anything to be concerned about, but it is good that you called. Always better to be safe than sorry. Good luck on your new journey! I'm sure we will continue to cross paths as we go through this together! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
