I've lost 11 pounds since Sunday!! LOL.. got on the scale this morning.. 364.0!!! I can't believe I just typed my weight!! Yes, the weight I will NEVER be again!!!

Oh, my resp. therapist tried to weigh me on a 350lb max scale.. When I told her it wouldn't weigh me, she didn't believe me!! LOL... That was funny!

In my Kaiser Options group classes I had to attend, we had to lose 10% of our weight. I started the classes on June 1st. By the time I had my surgery on Oct 25th, I had lost 52 pounds on my own... :) :)

10lbs is still good! did u cheat?

I was real good until the 9th day when I got that call on a Friday telling me my insurance would not cover the hospital and I could not have my surgery. WTH-eck. So I got angry and rebelled for a day but quickly got back on track after asking for forgiveness. I found another sugeon and life is good. No doubt I would have lost more if they'd left me alone. But if I had not got that call I would have been banded. so it turned out to be a blessing.

I remember thinking the same thing when I posted my starting weight!

I can't believe I just typed my weight!! Yes, the weight I will NEVER be again!!!

But you will never have to type that again (except when you are celebrating how far you've come!)

I was required to lose 10 and I ended up losing 20...over the course of 6 months...it wasnt all at once during pre-op. We had to lose 10% of excess body weight before they would schedule the surgery.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
