3 Month Check Up With Pcp

Recommended Posts

Hello all Self-pay/Mexico Sleevers! I am approaching my 3 month check up with my PCP and just curious if anyone has a list of things I should be asking her to check? I don't want to miss a thing!

I went through and wrote down all my questions for my check up.

  • Should I be limiting calories/carbs at this point?
  • How much exercise do you recommend I do at this weight and considering any meds I am taking?
  • What should my heart rate be during that exercise?
  • Am I taking enough/correct Vitamins and supplements? Do/Will you do a test to verify my Vitamin, Iron and cholesterol levels?
  • I have strange pain in this area. Can you check that to see if it is surgery related?
  • Is my weight loss in the expected range at this point?

Those are a few of the questions I asked at my visit. You may wish to use some of them, none of them or make up your own list. I just jotted mine down in the notebook app on my phone and went right through them.

Good luck at your visit! :)

Vitamin levels for sure. I just asked my PCP to do a full blood panel of everything just to make sure nothing was missed. And I think a barium swallow would be wise too!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
