Protein Shakes

I am so sick of Protein Shakes. Two weeks out an I almost gag thinking about it. I want to buy some different kinds. Does anyone have suggestions for some that are not to sweet an tolerable. The Protein Shots are even grosser.

Have you tried the Atkins ones? I have found that I am a bit lactose intolerant now, so they don't treat me well, but they are quite tasty. Available at BJ's by the case in chocolate, forget about the vanilla though, if you can find them, the Mocha is good too. I was ordering them from Amazon. Even the fruit juice Shots arn't awful if you cut them with Crystal Light.

Ah yes....I am 4 months post op and just getting back to some of the Protein Drinks. I have to drink unflavored Unjury with my coffee and tea 2 to 3 times a day. I like you cannot stand the sweets ick. I really like Unjury and nectar unflavored, avail at Amazon. Best of luck!!

The nectar unflavored is OK, and I've been recently using the GNC unflavored and mix it with my Decaf, a little milk and sweetener. Still not great but tolerable. I couldn't handle any of the sweet Protein mixes for long.

I am 6 weeks out and the only kind of Protein Drink I have been able to drink is the EAS brand. I mixed them with milk at first because they were too sweet. Plus it gave me xtra Protein too.

Isoflex from Super Supplements; 1 gram of carbs. Seriously WAY better and less sweet than any other shake I've tried. I like the choc/peanut butter flavor. Not too strong, creamy...blends well and no gag reflex

Thanks y'all. I will try some of the suggestions. I think I will b on them for a while. I can't c myself ever eating 70 grams of Protein in food. I can't even get 70 in shakes in a day. Tomorrow I am getting a bigger variety to choose from. Thanks

Go to the food forum and order some samples. That way you can try a lot of things. A lot of people do like the nectar products. You can get samples of all of their flavors in a variety pack for not much money.
