  6. Hi. I'm new,had my sleeve almost two weeks ago and I have posted a few things butnever get a response. I'm looking for someone who's around my age or so (43). Who has had the surgery. I want a buddy that I can talk to. My big question is why do I get nauseated when I drink something that's sweet. I am on non sweets but had a sm bite of my daughtersicecream an I got sick. Low fat yogurt did it to. Maybe it is lactose. Anyway I am worried I'm going to b the failed patient. My work knows I had the surgery an if I fail they will know. I am down 14 ponds since my preop diet an surgery. I started out at 240 an now 226. Anyone want to chime in?

Well I to had the sleeve on nov 9th. I even was emotional a week later but I am happy now. I'm prob about the same size I weighed 240 and weigh 226 now but I am 5'8. Ihad a lot of peeps telling me the same thing about not big enough for the surgery. my doctor says Why wait till u gain wt. The only shake I can get Down is the ones at smoothies king. I tried one that had too much sugar an I got nauseated weak an felt bad so b careful. Just think about the spring an wearing shorts and a tank top without fat arms an legs that rub. Ha.
  8. Average about 20 to 25 at at setting. Wait a few hours in between each protien drinks
  9. As a bariatric operating room nurse yes, they can tell if u followed your diet. The liver is in the way of the stomach so we have to hold it up with an instrument to work. If the liver is fatty it tears an bruises/ bleeds an the surgeon cant c. Peeps that r fat usually have a fat liver. I did the low carb high protien diet for two weeks and since I worked w these people I didn't cheat hardly at all. They told me my liver looked great. I just had the surgery 5 days ago. I hope u still read this

  11. Wow what a journey. I had a lot if probs w my dr office dealing w insurance. She never turned in the stuff an they denied my sleeve. They paid for my band removal though. I'm glad I did it. I'm only a few days out so I have a lot of pain still. Keep in touch I like to hear your story.
  12. I had my old band that I had for three years out do to a leak an had a sleeve. I thought the pain would b the same but OMG I hurt bad where my port was on left side of stomach. I now that they mess with the muscle a lot. It even hurts my rib all the way to my back. I'm doing ok with liquids but 70 of protien is hard. I'm an operating room nurse and do these authors a lot but I don't see patients after so this is all new to me. I'm glad I did it and can't wait to loose more weight. Anyone have a lot of pain?
