Sooo Did Everyone Have A Nice "last" Thanksgiving?

Recommended Posts

I enjoy reading the pre-op forum sometimes. It's funny how we tend to obsess about our "last" meals (Lord knows I was among them), but honestly I'm now 16 months out from surgery and I ate everything I wanted to yesterday and didn't feel left out at all. Don't stress about it. :)

Go Kart Mozart: I was just thinking the same thing. I was sleeved only 3 months ago, but it was so nice to have this be my first thanksgiving where I wasn't dying from my post-feast food coma!!!! I even had a glass of wine. I promise you guys it's not the end, it's only the beginning. And since I've had the surgery, I don't crave the junk I used to love so much. I used to hate vegetables and love ground beef and now I am the complete opposite. You never know what your gonna get till you jump in, and 9 times out of 10 that last supper syndrome will seem silly to you once you are further out (But I totally went through it too!!). But I promise you my first post op turkey day, was the first one (not to mention the best one) I've had where I wasn't focused on the food, but more on my family. And it made it so much more worth the while!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
